A United Airlines aircraft had to return to O’Hare on Sunday night after a possible bird strike, airline officials said.

United Flight 2481, an Airbus A320, left O’Hare for Syracuse, New York, at 9:13 p.m., but the plane returned after pilots reported a possible bird strike, United officials said. The flight landed safely, and 129 passengers completed their trip on another plane.
