Police are looking for the driver of a sport utility vehicle that ran into a woman who was walking across the street in Ukrainian Village Friday morning, killing her.
The woman was in the crosswalk in the 700 block of North Oakley Boulevard when a 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross that was turning crashed into her and left the scene about 8:50 a.m., police said.
The unidentified woman was taken to Stroger Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver has not been arrested and detectives are investigating.
