UFC 325: Alexander Volkanovski Vs. Diego Lopes 2 Predictions, Odds, How to Watch Main Card

UFC is back on Saturday evening with another numbered card to kick off the new year. Alexander Volkanovski (27-4) is set to defend his featherweight title belt against Diego Lopes (27-7) in a rematch that is sure to be filled with intense fighting action. Volkanovski and Lopes headline the card, and the Co-Main Event features a matchup between Dan Hooker and Benoit Saint-Denis with lightweight implications.

Other fights include: Rafael Fiziev vs. Mauricio Ruffy, Tai Tuivasa vs. Tallison Teixeira (heavyweight), and Quillan Salkilld vs. Jamie Mullarkey. The event is being held at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, which is why there are several Australian fighters featured on the card.

Let’s get into how to watch UFC 325: Volkanovski vs. Lopes 2, odds for the matches, and predictions:

UFC 325 Predictions, Odds for Main Card

Now, let’s get into some predictions and odds for UFC 325. Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook and subject to change.

Quillan Salkilld (-1000)  vs. Jamie Mullarkey (+660)

The moneyline value on betting Quillan Salkilld isn’t great, so I’m going to head to the method of victory market in this one to find a good bet. Prediction: Salkilld by KO/TKO (-130).

Tai Tuivasa (+265) vs. Tallison Teixeira (-330)

This is a very intriguing and interesting fight in the heavyweight division. Tuivasa is the native fighter, being from Australia, but Teixeira has the youth advantage, along with four inches of height on Tuivasa and eight inches of reach. The expectation is that one of these men will drop to the canvas at some point. Prediction: Teixeira by KO/TKO.

Rafael Fiziev (-108) vs. Mauricio Ruffy (-108)

The closest betting line on the card, according to FanDuel and likely many other sportsbooks, which makes this fight so tough to pick. Ruffy is 12-2, and his last fights include a loss to Benoit Saint-Denis and a KO victory against King Green. Prediction: Mauricio Ruffy by decision

Co-Main: Dan Hooker (+275) vs. Benoit Saint-Denis (-340)

Dan Hooker enters as the sixth-ranked contender in the lightweight division, but is also a big underdog. Hooker poses a threat to Saint-Denis with his striking ability, but Benoit is a much more technical fighter and can beat Hooker in various ways. However, there has been no underdog prediction yet for this card. And there’s going to be at least one underdog winner from this card. Prediction: Hooker by decision in a war.

Main Event: Alexander Volkanovski (-145) vs. Diego Lopes (+120)

For the featherweight title, Alexander Volkanovski outclassed Diego Lopes in their first fight, but Lopes fought a little bit more vanilla than he usually does, and he enters as a slight underdog again in this one. It’s hard to beat a man twice, and Volk’s age might be an increasing factor as he continues to fight. As hard as this one is to predict, there’s no doubt it’s going to be a banger, and I expect both of these fighters to last 25 minutes. Prediction: Diego Lopes by decision.
