Two dead of gunshot wounds in Santa Cruz County

WATSONVILLE — The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office located two deceased men early Friday after a reported shooting outside of Watsonville.

The men, both 21-year-old Santa Cruz County residents, reportedly both died of gunshot wounds, despite lifesaving efforts at the scene on the 700 block of Carlton Road. Authorities responded to the residential address, surrounded by agricultural fields, shortly before 1 a.m.
