A man and woman died Saturday in a single-vehicle crash near East 40th Avenue and North Colorado Boulevard in Denver, police say.
Denver police announced the crash on social media at 5:59 a.m., saying it resulted in serious injuries and warning other drivers to expect delays.
Three hours later, police wrote in an update that both occupants of the crashed vehicle had been taken to a hospital, where they were declared dead.
The cause and manner of the victims’ deaths will be released by the Office of the Medical Examiner.
