Two armed Bay Area carjackers arrested

Two armed carjackers were arrested by the Vallejo Police Department Patrol Division on Monday at the 100 block of Larissa Lane.

According to a VPD news release, two female victims reported being held at gunpoint by multiple male suspects. The suspects blocked the victim’s vehicle in a parking stall, using two cars. Additionally, the suspects ordered the victims out of their vehicle before driving away in it, followed by the other two suspect vehicles.

Officers later located the stolen vehicle unoccupied near Kissel Alley and Sacramento Street. While transporting the victims to recover their vehicle, one of the victims recognized a car involved in the carjacking traveling in the area. Officers then conducted a felony stop on the suspect vehicle near Kentucky Street and Sonoma Boulevard and two suspects inside the vehicle were taken into custody after a positive in-field show-up linked them to the carjacking.

A search of the vehicle uncovered two loaded, unregistered firearms and stolen property belonging to the victims. Both suspects, identified as unlicensed juveniles, were arrested on multiple felony charges.
