There was no way Travis Kelce was going to miss the U.S. men’s hockey team’s Gold Medal matchup against Canada at the 2026 Milan Olympics. And he made sure Taylor Swift was tuned in too.
During the Feb. 25 episode of Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, Travis spoke about the win, detailing what it was like to watch the United States win its first Olympic gold in men’s hockey since the 1980 Miracle on Ice.
“Me and Tay watched the entire game, man,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said. “And it’s just so (expletive) epic, man. From the first drop of the puck, man, that game was nonstop action and had me at the edge of my seat.”
“Loved every bit of it, man,” he added.
While Jason took the trip to Milan, Travis was watching the game from back in the States, but he still enjoyed every bit of the action.

It was quite the performance from Jack Hughes in Team U.S.A.’s victory, who truly left it all out on the ice. Specifically, that included a moment in the third quarter when Hughes was on the receiving end of a high-sticking penalty from Sam Bennett, which resulted in a four-minute power play, but also left Hughes without his tooth.
But the moment that will forever go down in history is when Hughes score the overtime goal to hand the United States the win. And Travis remembers it so vividly.
“I just (expletive) exploded when I saw ol’ Jack Hughes (expletive) put it right in between the legs, man,” Travis said, also adding in a comment about his lost tooth.
“Golly. It looked like he had lost that tooth once or twice before,” he added “They crushed it. USA was so much fun to watch throughout the entire tournament, man. That semifinal game that you went to, I’m sure we’ll get into the rundown, but absolutely epic.”

Jason Kelce was also very excited about Team U.S.A.’s win, making a fun statement on the podcast.
“USA… Hockey capital of the world! Men’s and women’s. Gold medal,” the former Philadelphia Eagles star said. “Best country on the planet in hockey. I don’t want to hear any arguments.”
And he also gushed about the game itself.
“There is just something about hockey, whether it’s playoff hockey or national hockey,” he stated. “When guys are going all out, it’s just the most fun sport to watch on the planet.”
Travis immediately agreed.
“Bro, that was a (expletive) intense game from the start,” the tight end added. “How much the (expletive) puck was moving. There were a few passes where I was just like, ‘How the (expletive) did he even know the guy was over there’?”
