Tracking the Bears’ undrafted free agent signings

When the NFL Draft ended Saturday night, the Bears set about negotiating undrafted free agent contracts and sending out tryout invitations for the team’s rookie minicamp at Halas Hall in two weeks.

The Bears have had some recent success in that department, landing backup quarterback Tyson Bagent as an undrafted free agent three years ago. Receiver Jahdae Walker was an undrafted free agent last year who caught six passes, including a touchdown against the Packers in December. Cornerback and special teams stalwart Josh Blackwell was an undrafted free agent signed by the Eagles who the Bears claimed in 2022.

Here’s a look at the Bears’ undrafted free agent moves:

• Louisville quarterback Miller Moss, who once backed up Caleb Williams when the two were at USC, is signing with the Bears. Moss threw for 2,679 yards and 16 yards last year after spending his first four seasons with the Trojans.

The Bears didn’t make any major moves at defensive end, defensive tackle or left tackle, but they brought in some intriguing talents.
The package of picks the Bears sent to the Bills would end the draft for them unless they acquire additional selections.
Authorities are investigating a woman’s death as a homicide, ESPN reported, but Pennel said he didn’t know her and wasn’t in the Dominican when she disappeared in 2021.
