Top DOJ official in Chicago to supervise ‘immigration enforcement actions,’ reports say

Multiple reports say a top Department of Justice official is in Chicago to “personally observe” immigration enforcement actions.

Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, President Donald Trump’s top appointee in the agency, will oversee Department of Homeland Security operations today, according to reports from NBC and ABC. The reports cited an unnamed Department of Justice official, who said multiple federal agencies and federal prosecutors are involved.

It’s unclear if any raids are planned for Sunday.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
