Three suffer smoke inhalation during South Shore fire

Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that injured three adults early Tuesday in a South Shore apartment fire.

The victims, two men and a woman, were in good condition at a hospital after the blaze, which broke out just before 2 a.m. in the 6900 block of South Crandon Avenue and was contained to one unit in the apartment complex, Chicago police and fire officials said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, fire officials said.
