Three injured after Aurora shooting early Sunday morning

Two men were shot and a third broke his ankle after an altercation at an Aurora apartment building early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired at 1568 Nome St. around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Aurora police said in a news release.

One man has life-threatening injuries and the second has serious injuries from the shooting, according to the department. Police also found a third man with a broken ankle.

Officers detained one man in connection with the shooting but his part in the shooting is “unclear,” department officials said Sunday.
