Thornton man killed in hit-and-run crash on I-225 in Arapahoe County

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 225 near Colorado 83 in Arapahoe County early Friday morning, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

75-year-old pedestrian killed in fatal hit-and-run crash near Boulder on U.S. 36

Troopers responded to the crash at 1:13 a.m. and found the pedestrian, a 34-year-old man from Thornton, was dead at the scene.

Investigators determined the driver of a Ford Econoline struck the man and then fled on foot, CSP officials said in a news release.

The crash is under investigation, and anyone who has information and has not spoken to investigators can contact Colorado State Patrol dispatch at 303-239-4501 and reference case number 1C242927.
