The Greater Lake Tahoe Area placed under an avalanche watch Monday morning

The National Weather Service reported an avalanche watch at 7:13 a.m. on Monday in effect until 8:15 a.m. for the Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

“The following message is transmitted at the request of the U.S. Forest Service Sierra Avalanche Center. The Backcountry Avalanche Watch has been expired,” according to the NWS Reno NV.
