Steven Joseph “Esco” Marquez is suspected in a fatal shooting near 29th and Larimer streets around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Denver Police Department.

Officers responded to the area after the man was shot while intervening with a “disturbance,” Denver police said Sunday. The man, who has not been identified, died Friday.

Marquez is considered armed and dangerous and should not be contacted by community members, according to Denver police. He is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 140 pounds.
