A teen BMW driver has been arrested for manslaughter for a 107-mph crash that killed a 76-year-old woman riding in a car on a Queens parkway six months ago, police said Tuesday.
Tegh Pawar, 18, turned himself in at the 112th Precinct stationhouse to face charges Tuesday morning.
Police sources say he was going 107 mph south on the Cross Island Parkway, more than twice the 50 mph speed limit, when he crashed a relative’s 2025 BMW M3 near Hempstead Ave. about 4 p.m. July 5.
When Pawar moved from the center lane to the right lane he rear-ended a Honda Accord driven by a 53-year-old man. The force of the impact sent the Accord off the road onto a grassy shoulder, where it slammed into a tree.
The Accord driver’s mother, Hilda Achaibor, who was sitting in the right rear passenger seat, went into cardiac arrest and lost consciousness, police said.
Medics rushed Achaibor to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she died about 45 minutes later. She lived in Rosedale, according to cops.
Her son was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries, as were two other family members, a 44-year-old woman and a 51-year-old woman.
The BMW driver and a 17-year-old relative riding in the front passenger seat were not hurt.

Pawar remained at the scene after the crash but was not immediately charged. He was ultimately indicted on manslaugher charges following an investigation by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.
The suspect has no criminal history and was awaiting arraingment in Queens Criminal Supreme Court Tuesday. He lives in Maspeth, according to cops.
