Taylor Swift News Appears as Grammy Festivities Begin

Taylor Swift has been supportive of her future husband Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs all season long, but now that the Chiefs are in the offseason, the two have more time to do wedding planning and also plan for the future.

The break from football also gives Swift more time to continue to promote her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which dropped on October 3, 2025. Not that she even needs to get the word out on the album. The release shot to the top of the charts upon its release, and in December, Swift found out that it was No. 1 on the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) tally of top-certified albums of the year for 2025, according to Billboard. That’s an even bigger accomplishment knowing that it didn’t come out until October.

Now, some Swift news is getting attention right when the Grammy Awards are taking place. This news just showing what kind of star power Swift posses and the reign she has over the music charts.

Taylor Swift Statistic Appears in Music Report

On Tuesday, January 27, Billboard released a tally of the artists with the most Hot 100 hits. The Billboard Hot 100 is the music industry’s standard record chart in the United States for singles, and it covers any and all genres of music. It’s published each week by Billboard magazine.

Swift didn’t appear at No. 1 on the tally, but her showing is still more than impressive. Swift was No. 2 and the highest female musician on the roster.

So, how many Hot 100 hits does Swift have? According to Billboard research, she has 276. That’s wild. Many artists don’t even have 276 songs, let alone tracks that become hits.

“She scored her 100th entry in 2020 after releasing ‘Folklore,’ and she became the first woman to reach the 200-hits milestone in July 2023 after releasing ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),’” Xander Zellner of Billboard states in the piece. “She first arrived on the chart in September 2006 with her breakthrough single ‘Tim McGraw’ (No. 40 peak).”

So, who’s No. 1? That honor goes to rapper Drake. He has 362 songs that have made it onto the Hot 100 chart. “He tallied his 100th career entry in 2015 after releasing ‘What a Time to Be Alive’ with Future, his 200th in 2019 after releasing ‘Care Package,’ and his record-extending 300th in 2023 after dropping ‘For All the Dogs,’” Zellner states of his success.

Zellner adds of Drake, “He’s the first and, to date, only artist to chart 300 songs. He first appeared on the Hot 100 in May 2009 with his breakthrough hit ‘Best I Ever Had’ (No. 2 peak).”

Taylor Swift and the 2026 Grammy Awards

So, will Swift attend the 2026 Grammy Awards with Kelce? All signs are pointing to know, although anything can happen.

Swift actually isn’t up for any Grammy Awards this year, but it’s not for a bad reason. “The Life of a Showgirl” was released after the eligibility period, so it will likely be up for awards at next year’s event. In total, Swift has won 14 Grammy Awards and has been nominated 58 times, so she certainly doesn’t need the acclaim.
