Taste Tri-Valley Restaurant Week begins Feb. 21

Taste Tri-Valley Restaurant Week is back for a fifth consecutive year as it hopes to feature some of the top restaurants, wineries and breweries in Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin and Danville.

The 10-day celebration will take place Feb. 21 through March 2 and will feature special events, unique menu offerings and discounts.

The kick-off dinner will take place Thursday, Feb. 20, and start with a cocktail reception at Crush’d in Danville, followed by dinner and a live auction at Tides Restaurant. The dinner will feature a four-course tasting menu co-created by three local chefs, including Elvin Sanchez from Tides, Jose Hernandez from Forbes Mill and Rodney Worth from The Peasant & The Pear. Tides’ sommelier Marc Dumont will add a wine pairing. Tickets are $165.

There’s a beer vs. wine dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 26, when Heather McGrail of McGrail Vineyards will select wines and Eric Wall of BottleTaps will select drinks to pair with each food course, then guests will vote on whether they enjoyed beer or wine better after each course. Tickets go on sale soon.

A South American Street Food Party will take place at Oyo in Pleasanton on Friday, Feb. 28, when South American and Caribbean flavors will be on the menu while a steel drum band elevates the festivities with tropical sounds. Tickets are $65.
