Suspected arrested following two burglaries at same La Honda home

LA HONDA — A suspect believed to be connected to two separate burglaries at the same La Honda home has been arrested and booked into a San Mateo County jail, authorities announced Sunday.

The suspect, a 28-year-old San Jose man, was arrested Sunday morning after deputies with the Coastside Patrol Bureau responded to a home on the 2900 block of Long Ridge Road around 12:30 a.m. following a report of a home burglary.

A perimeter was established and officers called the suspect out of the house without incident, according to a press release.

Officers believe the suspect forcefully entered the home through a rear window. About $3,000 worth of items were allegedly stolen from the home and found in the suspects car on scene. The suspect is also accused of burglarizing the same home a day before.

He’s currently being held at the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City.
