Northbound Interstate 25 was closed Sunday morning near Monument for a multi-vehicle crash, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s officials first posted about the crash, which happened about 25 miles north of Colorado Springs, on social media at 8:41 a.m. Sunday. They said the highway was closed at mile marker 63 for the crash clean-up and investigation.
As of 10:09 a.m., the highway was reopened, sheriff’s officials said.
To the south, near Fort Carson and Fountain, a section of southbound I-25 remains closed after another Sunday morning crash, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Southbound I-25 is closed between Exit 135 for South Academy Boulevard and Colorado 16 in Fountain, CDOT officials said in an 8:40 a.m. update.
Drivers should expect delays in the area and take alternate routes where possible.
