Following the injury, Jesse Morse, M.D. sent out a post (via X).

He wrote: “Jayson Tatum suffered a calf injury in tonight‘s game. Potentially very concerning as the series turns to a pivotal Game 7. Depending on the specifics of the injury, there is a chance he misses this game.”

Tatum is already coming off a major injury, so it will be interesting to see how the Celtics handle his status for Game 7.

He finished the regular season with averages of 21.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 41.1% from the field and 32.9% from three-point range in 16 games.

Looking Ahead For Boston

The Celtics are the second seed in the Eastern Conference after going 56-26 during the regular season.

They now find themselves in a shocking situation, as they are tied up at 3-3 with the 76ers.

Game 7 of the series will be on Saturday in Boston.

Bill Simmons wrote during the game: “Just a different Celtics team. You could see all the signs on Tuesday. No bench points other than PP which is crazy. 1 off rebound. Five forced TOs that’s it. Dumb fouls. Slow it down offense. They threw away what worked all season. Philly getting way better shots too.”

Whoever wins on Saturday will face off against the New York Knicks in the second.

Last season, the Celtics lost to the Knicks in the second round (in six games).
