A Southwest Airlines jet nearly crashed with a business jet that was not authorized to be on the runway Tuesday morning at Midway Airport, according to the FAA.
At 8:50 a.m. the crew of Southwest Airlines Flight 2504 initiated a “go-around” when a business jet entered the runway without authorization at Chicago Midway Airport, according to Steve Kulm, of the FAA.
There were no reports of injuries, according to the Chicago fire department.
The FAA is investigating the incident.
