Snow made driving hazardous on roads throughout Colorado on Saturday as law enforcement reported roadway closures in the mountains and across the Denver metro area.
Segments of Interstate 70 were closed between Copper Mountain and Vail amid the snow, as was Colorado 119, spanning Boulder Canyon between Boulder and Nederland, as of 3:05 p.m.
Southbound Interstate 25 is also closed near Owl Canyon Road, north of Wellington, because of safety concerns.
U.S. 6 remains closed in both directions near Loveland Pass after an avalanche Friday stranded multiple drivers.
Numerous Colorado law enforcement agencies have also announced they are on accident alert, including Denver police.
Traffic on eastbound I-70 between Rifle and Glenwood Springs was impacted Saturday morning when a driver rear-ended a parked Colorado State Patrol vehicle, and a multi-vehicle crash closed northbound Parker Road in Aurora for about 45 minutes Saturday afternoon.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
