Sky’s Angel Reese becomes first player ejected from Unrivaled game

The Sky’s Angel Reese became the first player ejected from Unrivaled, the three-on-three league. Reese, who plays for Rose, was called for a foul in the second quarter Saturday, then received two quick technical fouls after arguing.

Reese was guarding the Laces’ Tiffany Hayes when the impetus for the ejection likely occurred. Reese was clapping at Hayes, waiting for her to make a move. When Hayes did, Reese fouled her, and Hayes fell. Perhaps believing Hayes embellished, Reese gestured as through to wave her off.

That’s when Reese received the first technical foul. After arguing with the official, Reese got the second, which comes with an ejection.
