For anyone wanting to recall when single family home ownership was affordable, a visit to Willow Crossing, a new Sun Communities property in Fort Lupton, will be an eye opener.

Willow Crossing, is just five minutes northeast of Fort Lupton’s exit on U.S. 85. There, buyers will find modern single-family 2-4 bedroom home models with prices ranging from $129,995 to $259,995.

“People are excited to find homes like these,” says Haleigh Knoll, sales manager at Willow Crossing. “Our beautiful homes along with our resort style amenities make Willow Crossing a very attractive option for families looking for a house.”

With a setting a short walk from Fort Lupton’s Twombly Elementary School, Knoll says that several buyers who purchased were young families, coming from rentals or apartments in Brighton, Commerce City and other north metro areas.

“They love having their own space for their family without sharing walls with other people.” Knoll adds.

But Knoll also sees empty-nester couples looking to buy homes with main-floor living space now that their kids no longer live with them. “They’re selling houses in areas like Reunion where taxes are much higher than they are in Fort Lupton,” she adds.

Those buyers typically report that sales of their homes were quick and painless—disappearing to contracts within three-to-five days of coming on the market.

As a result, some of those are cash purchases, leaving the buyers with the financial freedom to travel, Knoll says.

Willow Crossing is holding their public Grand Opening event next Saturday, June 8, from 11am-4pm highlighted by food trucks, a Kona Ice Bar, petting zoo and jump castle for kids. KYGO 98.5 will live broadcast and several drawings for door prizes and giveaways will happen throughout the day. Event-only purchase incentives will be available to home purchasers.

People are welcome to stop by before the event or schedule a tour to preview the homes and community at their convenience.

All of Willow Crossing’s single-family homes are Champion Series manufactured homes built with better production efficiencies and energy performance than standard stick-built homes. (All homes are Five-Star Energy-Certified.)

Meanwhile, buyers purchase their homes, but lease their home site, wrapping that lease payment into a single payment that includes an HOA fee for Willow Crossing’s amenities.

Those include a community clubhouse you’ll see during your visit, where a new pool is opening for summer, along with a playground, fitness center and two pickleball courts.
