The inbound Kennedy Expressway was closed for more than three hours Wednesday afternoon after a shooting was reported near Ogden Avenue.
Illinois State Police responded to a call of gunfire around 3:13 p.m. and closed lanes starting at North Avenue, the agency said in a statement.
State police said “injuries have been reported” but did not elaborate. Lanes were reopened at 6:41 p.m., the state police said.
