Shaquille O’Neal appears to have irritated the Sky’s Angel Reese with some comments about dunking and women’s basketball shorts.
According to People.com, O’Neal appeared on Reese’s Unapologetically Angel podcast and discussed how lowered rims could impact the WNBA and added a fashion critique. “Imagine you in the same little shorts you had on at the Wild ‘N Out show dunking,” referring to the shorts Reese wore during an appearance at the Wild ‘N Out Live Tour’s Chicago stop this month.
“You know how many T-shirts you’re gonna sell?” he asked. Reese appeared to roll her eyes, laugh uncomfortably and say, “Oh my god.”
“Okay. Alright. Alright. Alright. Alright,” Reese said, trying to change the subject.
But O’Neal added: “You’re not beautiful or good-looking — you are gorgeous,” he said. “There’s a lot of gorgeous women in the WNBA.”
The online backlash soon followed.
One post on X said “Angel reese learned a painful lesson about men through shaq in real time, i fear.”
Another post criticized O’Neal for “sexualizing Angel Reese when he’s 30 years her senior and has kids older than her.”
