Several arrested following fatal shooting of man in Streamwood

Multiple people were in custody after a man was shot to death early Sunday in northwest suburban Streamwood.

No charges have been announced.

Around 2:20 a.m., authorities responded to the 300 block of Cedar Circle and found a 24-year-old man shot, according to Streamwood police.

The Elgin man was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Several people were taken into custody, officials said.

Police say the shooting was isolated and there was no threat to the public.
