Seahawks Get Great Update Amid 2026 NFL Offseason

Head coach Mike Macdonald and the Seattle Seahawks will have to replace four key members of their 2025 Super Bowl roster. But due to those departures, the Seahawks are on track to get extra draft capital next year.

Over the Cap provided a compensatory picks projection update this week. According to the latest, the Seahawks will receive four compensatory selections in the 2027 NFL Draft.

One of those picks will be a fourth-rounder. Over the Cap projected the other three to be in the fifth round.

The Seahawks are set to receive the fourth rounder due to Boye Mafe’s exit. The edge rusher signed a 3-year, $60 million deal with the Cincinnati Bengals in free agency.

Based on the current projections, the contracts Kenneth Walker, Coby Bryant and Riq Woolen signed with other teams will each result in a fifth-round pick for Seattle.

The Seahawks haven’t signed any free agents to count against them in the NFL compensatory pick formula.

Four compensatory selections is the most any one team can receive in one draft class.
