Scottie Scheffler and wife Meredith Scheffler are the proud parents of new baby, Remy, as the family expanded just in time for the Masters. Scottie’s status at the Masters had been in question as the golfer withdrew from multiple tournaments ahead of Augusta National.
The star revealed that the couple welcomed Remy to the world weeks before the Masters. Scottie’s wife, Meredith, and the couple’s two children, Bennett and Remy, are at Augusta National with the golfer.
When asked about his sleep plans during the Masters, Scottie labeled his wife as a “trooper” while adding that the couple’s newborn will not impact his plans at Augusta National.
“I’m getting plenty of sleep,” Scottie told reporters on April 7, 2026, when asked about Remy’s impact during the Masters. “My wife’s a trooper. Yeah, having a newborn is always an interesting thing, but Remy is so young right now, they sleep a lot of the day.
“I think he’s used to being in the womb at this point. Yeah, I’ve been able to get a decent amount of sleep.”

Scottie was asked if he has been able to share any special moments at Augusta with his kids. The golfer admitted that the family may still be a little young to truly appreciate the Masters.
“This week we got here on Sunday, and I always hand out an award for the Drive, Chip and Putt, so I go upstairs and put my green jacket on and come back down to give out the award,” Scottie explained. “My wife had driven us in and parked somewhere else, so I was helping them get into the property.
“I had my jacket on, and Mer got this great picture of me and Bennett walking into the clubhouse with me with my green jacket and holding his hand. But, I mean, he has no idea what it means. I’m sure it will come with age,” Scottie added.
“This place means a lot to me as a professional and as a golfer. This place signifies so much for me in my golf journey, and that’s something I’d love to be able to share with my kids. We’ll see how that goes as they age.”

Not only will Scottie be playing at the Masters, but the golfer will be joined by the whole family. Ahead of the Masters, Scottie eased fans’ concerns about his status at Augusta National.
“We had another boy a couple weeks ago,” Scottie told Golf Channel on April 5. “It’s been really nice, it’s fun. I’m really glad they were able to travel with me this week.
“My wife is a trooper and we brought the boys this week. It’s been fun.”
With the Scheffler family’s Masters status confirmed, the only question is whether the golfer can add a third green jacket this week.
