Pedestrian dies after being hit by driver in West San Jose

The fatal collision happened around 4:45 a.m. on Sept. 20 at the intersection of Agnew Road and Montague Expressway, according to the Santa Clara Police Department.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release his identity after it is confirmed and his next of kin is notified.

Prior to the crash, the man was seen riding southbound on Agnew Road, according to police.

“There were no other vehicles reported to be involved,” police said. “However, the incident is still under investigation.”
