San Francisco 49ers Facing Unexpected Issue That Could Derail Titans Joint Practices

It’s been well documented and well covered out of the San Francisco 49ers‘ training camp that the team is dealing with a plethora of injuries.

As training camp moves along and preseason games are right around the corner, it’s the time of camp when teams across the league will begin to have joint practices with teams in the area to see how the team is matching up with external competition in the early stages of the season.

However, for the San Francisco 49ers, their joint practices with the Tennessee Titans could be in jeopardy due to an unexpected issue.

According to San Francisco 49ers analyst Brad Graham,

“The 49ers are trending towards having to cancel joint practices with the Titans for not having enough healthy bodies”

While it’s not the biggest deal in the world that the 49ers may not be able to have joint practices, what’s more concerning is just the sheer amount of injuries the Niners have faced not even two weeks into training camp.

Here are some of the names on the injury report, per Cam Inman, 49ers beat reporter:

There’s a lot of ‘soreness’ on that report, which might be the only good news from the whole preseason injury saga out of San Francisco 49ers training camp, and it is important to remember that the 49ers do have a lot of seasoned veterans on their roster, so it’s plausible to think there’s a precautionary factor in the whole thing.

More on 49ers’ injury situation…

Per 49ers’ Roundtable.com writer Savannah Tujague, the wide receiver corps has received the worst of the early injury hits. Here’s a breakdown of some of the 49ers’ pass catchers dealing with injuries + their diagnoses:

When you take a look at all these injuries, it makes sense why the 49ers went out and signed Deebo Samuel, who immediately becomes a featured name in the offensive attack and could actually be the top target for Brock Purdy.

In a smaller move, the Niners also went and signed ST specialist/WR KhaDarel Hodge to help with positional depth in the group.

However, the report from Brad Graham about joint practices with the Titans is obviously just speculation, so stay updated with all the latest 49ers news on Heavy on 49ers for the final decision about the upcoming joint practice.
