San Francisco police made 59 arrests on Wednesday during a one-day operation targeting fugitives with outstanding warrants, police said.

The operation happened around the Tenderloin and Southern Districts, a press release issued Thursday noted.

According to the SFPD, 44 of the 59 arrests they made had arrest warrants.

Additionally, officers reportedly located and seized cocaine from those arrested, police said.

Police said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to address drug-related crime in the city.

Investigations remain open and active. Anyone with information is asked to call SFPD at (415) 575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411.
