Rosie O’Donnell‘s adult daughter, Chelsea Belle, has had another run-in with the law.
The 27-year-old was arrested for a third time — only five days after being released on bail for previous charges of drug possession.
According to court records obtained by Us Weekly, Chelsea was a passenger in a car pulled over on Nov. 18 by police in Niagara, Wisc. due to loud exhaust. Upon noticing “pick marks” on Chelsea’s face, the officer asked for identifying information.
Chelsea allegedly did not have an ID in her possession but offered up her name and date of birth. The officer then ran her information through the system and discovered she was out on bond for drug cases in Marinette and Oconto counties.
After learning the information, the officer ordered a K-9 police dog to sniff the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert. Naloxone, a synthetic medicine used to treat narcotic overdose, was found in the trunk.
During a subsequent physical search, Chelsea reportedly removed a “clear smoking device” from her bra. That device contained residue that later tested positive for methamphetamine, according to court documents.
After being turned over to Marinette County Jail, Chelsea was searched for a second time, upon which officials discovered she was hiding more drugs — a prescription pill bottle that included a bag of a crystal-like substance, a bag of hydrocodone, eight loose hydrocodone pills, 16 lamotrigine pills and several Alprazolam pills.
According to People, Chelsea now faces five charges, including two felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and a felony count of possession of narcotics. She’s also been charged with multiple misdemeanors for resisting an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The mother of four, who Rosie adopted with her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter in 1997, was previously arrested in September and October and charged with felony child neglect and drug possession.
She pleaded not guilty to charges related to her Sept. 10 arrest during a preliminary hearing and arraignment, according to People. She’s due back in court on Jan. 27.
“Sadly, this is not new for our family,” the O’Donnell family said in a statement following Chelsea’s second arrest. “Chelsea has struggled with drug addiction for a decade — we are all hopeful she will find her way out of this deadly disease.”
