Rogers Park stabbing critically wounds man, suspect arrested

A man was in custody after allegedly stabbing another man during a fight Sunday night in Rogers Park on the North Side.

About 10:50 p.m., two men, 34 and 55, began arguing in the 7600 block of North Bosworth Avenue when the argument became physical, Chicago police said.

The older man grabbed a knife stabbed the younger man in the abdomen while the younger man and punched the older man in the mouth, causing a laceration to his lip, police said.

The 34-year-old was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was in critical condition while the 55-year-old was taken into custody and also taken for treatment at St. Francis, where he was in good condition.

No charges have been announced.
