On the mound: Left-hander Kyle Freeland allowed four hits and one run (earned) while striking out one over three innings and finishing with a 1.8 ERA. … Righty Antonio Senzatela allowed just one hit and struck out one in his three scoreless innings of work. … RHP Diego Castillo, who signed a minor league contract with the Rockies back in December, allowed two hits in one inning. … Justin Lawrence, another right-hander, struggled in the final inning. He was roughed up to the tune of one hit and two runs (both earned), which sealed the win for the Guardians.

At the plate: First baseman Sean Bouchard homered on a fly ball to left-center in the sixth inning to get Colorado on the board. … Six Rockies had a hit Friday, but none had more than one. … Cleveland’s Ben Lively struck out three Rockies — Jordan Beck, Aaron Schunk and Ryan Ritter — in the second and third innings. A total of eight Colorado players struck out.
