On the mound: Right-hander German Marquez, returning after two years of battling elbow injuries, completed his spring with a 5.74 ERA. He made five starts, pitched 15 2/3 innings, gave up eight walks and struck out 10. Marquez had a 1.72 WHIP and a .306 batting average against. Tuesday, he pitched 4 2/3 innings, giving up three runs on six hits, with one walk, one strikeout and one homer. … The Rockies lost the game in the eighth when the Twins scored one run each against closer candidates Seth Halvorsen and Victor Vodnik.

At the plate: Catcher Hunter Goodman finished his terrific spring training on a high note, hitting his third homer — a two-run blast in the third inning. Goodman finished the exhibition season hitting .444 with a 1.322 OPS. … Veteran Nick Martini, named to the 26-man roster on Sunday, hit 2 for 3 with a double. He finished spring training hitting .390 with a 1.061 OPS.
