Polo Club mansion on 4 acres sells for $15M

A mansion in Denver’s Polo Club neighborhood has sold for $15 million — the second-most ever paid for a single-family home in the city.

The home on the 500 block of East Elizabeth Street sold Friday, records show. Just shy of 12,000 square feet, it has four bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

More importantly, however, the home sits on 4.34 acres.

“I’m thinking of this as a land sale,” said Kentwood agent Wendy Lee, who represented the seller.

The property was sold by HammerQ LLC, which bought it in December 2021 for $10.1 million, according to public records.

It was purchased by Cornichon LLC, represented by Compass agent Josh Steck. Gregory Densen, an attorney with Taft who state records show formed the LLC, did not respond to a request for comment Monday.

The sale is the top home transaction within Denver recorded on the Multiple Listing Service, or MLS.

But the sale does trail one nearby transaction that wasn’t recorded on MLS — the $17.7 million sale in 2022 of the home at 9 Polo Club Lane and its 6.5 acres. BusinessDen reported last year that the Walton family was behind Maroon Partners LLC, the entity that purchased that home and an adjacent one.

Homes in neighboring Cherry Hills Village have also sold above the $15 million mark.
