Police search for driver in hit-and-run near Midway Airport that ‘seriously injured’ motorcyclist

Chicago police are searching for a man who left the scene after hitting a motorcyclist near Midway Airport on Oct. 6.

During a street takeover event at 2:50 a.m. at the intersection of South Laramie and South Archer avenues, a gray or silver Hyundai Sonata hit and “seriously injured” a 51-year-old man on a motorcycle, police said. The driver left the scene southbound on South Laramie Avenue.

Police said the vehicle’s license plate contained the letters “A” and “X” and was driven by a man who looked to be about 30 years old.
