Photos: Late ‘Alice’ star Linda Lavin’s California home lists for $2.2 million

The mission revival-style home of “Alice” star Linda Lavin who died Dec. 29 from complications of lung cancer at 87 is on the market in North Hollywood for $2.2 million.

This is the same price that Lavin and her husband, the actor Steve Bakunas, paid for the property in May 2022.

Sited on a corner lot, a bougainvillea-covered wall with wooden gates conceals this 2,006-square-foot residence. It has both a main house and a separate guest house for a total of four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Beyond the entry gate is a garden and a pathway leading to the courtyard patio.

The front door opens into the great room of the main house, where a monochromatic fireplace wall draws attention at the far end. French doors separate the space from a pergola-covered patio.

At the opposite end of the space, there’s a family room.

Original wood floors, Saltillo tile and curved archways enhance the vintage character of the main house, and modern touches are seamlessly integrated throughout.

The kitchen features Thermador appliances along with Talavera accents, reclaimed wood cabinetry, porcelain counters and a hammered copper farmhouse-style sink. The kitchen also leads to a breakfast room.

Two bedrooms share a full bathroom adorned with vintage tile, while a third bedroom includes its own ensuite bathroom.

The lush grounds also boast a perola-covered outdoor kitchen and dining patio, deck and fruit trees.

Rose Ferraro Fahey of Compass has the listing for this property.

Lanvin was a star of stage, TV and film, best known for her role as a roadside diner waitress in the sitcom “Alice,” which aired from from 1976 to 1985. She was busy promoting her new Netflix series “No Good Deed” and filming the Hulu show “Mid-Century Modern” before her death.
