Phillies Land Stunning $126 Million Offseason Prediction

The Philadelphia Phillies have never been shy to make aggressive moves in free agency or on the trade market. Dave Dombrowski is also focused on powering the franchise back to being a true World Series contender.

While the 2026 MLB season is still ongoing and the Phillies are still very much in the mix as a potential contender, it’s never too early to begin looking ahead to the offseason.

Keeping that in mind, it’s likely that Philadelphia will enter the offseason with the same aggressive mindset it always has. If the right player is available for the right price, the Phillies will usually pull the trigger.

A stunning prediction has already been made that would see Philadelphia swing a blockbuster $126 million deal in free agency.

Philadelphia Phillies Predicted to Make $126 Million Free Agency Move

Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller has taken an early look at the MLB free agency market this offseason. One of the players available will be New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr.

With that being said, Miller has predicted that the Phillies will end up signing Chisholm to a massive six-year, $126 million contract.

“However, the Phillies arguably make the most sense here. Luis Arraez was a rental acquisition, both Alec Bohm and Edmundo Sosa are impending free agents and Bryson Stott has just one year of arbitration eligibility remaining on his contract,” Miller wrote.

“And with top infield prospect Aidan Miller yet to play in 2026 due to a back injury, goodness only knows when he’ll be ready to factor into the equation.”

Jazz Chisholm Jr. Would Be an Entertaining Signing

There are few players around baseball more interesting than Chisholm. He is an elite talent, but his personality can either make you love him or hate him.

So far this season with the Yankees, Chisholm has had an up-and-down year. He has played in 108 games, hitting 17 home runs to go along with 47 RBI, 30 stolen bases, and a slash line of .215/.293/.396.

Chisholm is capable of changing a game with his bat. Unfortunately, he is also capable of being a massive weak point in a lineup.

More than likely, the Phillies will be looking for a Luis Arraez replacement. They could look to re-sign the multi-time batting champion, but replacing him is much more likely.

At the end of the day, Chisholm will be one of the better players available to shore up the Philadelphia infield. The fact makes a lot of sense and is worth keeping an eye on as the MLB offseason approaches.
