A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash while walking Wednesday night in North Lawndale.
The 44-year-old was crossing the street about 7:45 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Central Park Avenue when the driver of a sport utility vehicle struck him and continued driving south, Chicago police said.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
CPD’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating.
