Pedestrian struck by RTD bus in Denver’s Washington Park neighborhood

A pedestrian was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after he was hit by a Regional Transportation District bus in Denver’s Washington Park neighborhood.

Denver police responded to the crash near South University Boulevard and East Florida Avenue at 3:43 p.m. The pedestrian was a male, but the department could not confirm his age Thursday night.

His injuries did not appear serious but officers are still investigating the crash, said department spokesperson Sienna Riley.
