A pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday night while crossing Sheridan Boulevard near Evans Avenue in Denver’s Harvey Park neighborhood, according to police.
Denver’s Police Department wrote in a social media post that the pedestrian was crossing from the west to the east side of Sheridan outside of the crosswalk and against the traffic signal when they were hit by a vehicle.
Officers responded to the crash at about 7:30 p.m., and the pedestrian was transported to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Details about the pedestrian’s age and gender were not available. They will be identified by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
The driver remained at the scene. Police did not immediately confirm whether charges would be filed in the crash.
