Pedestrian killed, 2 hurt in 3-vehicle crash in Clearing

A pedestrian was killed and two others were injured in a three-vehicle crash Monday night in Clearing on the Southwest Side.

Around 11:15 p.m., a white Infiniti sedan was westbound in the 5200 block of West 63rd Street when it sideswiped a black Infiniti sedan traveling in the same direction, Chicago police said.

One of the vehicles collided with a white Nissan sedan which was also going in the same direction causing the white Infiniti to jump a curb and hit a 38-year-old man and a building, police said.

The unidentified man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

A man driving the white Infiniti was taken to Christ where he was in fair condition, police said. A woman who was a passenger in the white Infiniti was taken to the same hospital where her condition wasn’t immediately known.

A man driving the black Infiniti wasn’t injured and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital as a precaution while a female passenger in the black Infiniti refused medical treatment.

The driver of the white Nissan also declined medical attention, police said.
