Pedestrian hospitalized in Denver hit-and-run near Acoma

A hit-and-run crash in Denver’s Civic Center neighborhood on Wednesday morning sent a pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The Denver Police Department said officers were investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian near West 12th Avenue and Acoma Street just before 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Paramedics took the pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The crash is under investigation, but no information about the driver or the car involved was available Wednesday morning.
