UNION CITY – A driver hit and killed a pedestrian Monday in Union City, police said.
The fatal collision happened at Almaden Boulevard and Alvarado Niles Road, according to the Union City Police Department.
Officers provided aid to the pedestrian, identified only as a man, but he died of his injuries at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said, adding that the driver did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
