Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes spent Conference Championship Sunday far from the football field, choosing family time as the Kansas City Chiefs missed the playoffs for the first time in seven seasons.
Mahomes suffered a torn ACL and LCL in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Chargers, ending his season and forcing Kansas City out of the postseason picture.

Patrick Mahomes Rehabs Injury While Brittany Shares Workout Update
While the New England Patriots defeated the Denver Broncos 10-7 in the AFC Championship Game, Brittany posted a workout video rather than watching the game.
She captioned the clip, “Vibing to this song Every day for forever 😌,” set to Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas.”
Patrick and Brittany both grew up in Texas and met in high school before eventually marrying in March 2022.
Since his injury in December, Mahomes has focused on rehabilitation while spending time with Brittany and their children: Sterling, 4, Bronze, 3, and Golden, who recently turned 1. Brittany previously shared photos of the family celebrating New Year’s Eve together.
Mahomes also marked Golden’s milestone birthday with Brittany, who posted emotional moments from the celebration.
Patrick previously joked about expanding their family during a press conference weeks after Golden’s arrival.
“It’s a growing family, but [I] hope we are done growing for a little while,” he said. “It’s [also] cool that I’m able to play in these big games and the Kansas City community has brought me in to be a part of their family.”
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes Take Kids to Disney on Ice
The Mahomes family recently enjoyed a Disney on Ice outing, with Brittany sharing photos and videos on Instagram Stories.
“Had the best time today!! 🤍,” Brittany wrote, showing Patrick and the kids meeting Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on the ice.
In one clip, Brittany encouraged Golden during an interaction with Minnie.
“One more high-five,” she told her toddler. “Yay!”
While Sterling eagerly greeted the characters, Bronze appeared hesitant.
“Very unsure, but he’s gonna get his sucker,” Brittany wrote, as Bronze cautiously accepted a lollipop.
Patrick reshared Brittany’s posts to his own Instagram Stories.
The couple welcomed Sterling in 2021, followed by Bronze in November 2022 and Golden in January 2025.
Mahomes has often spoken about how meaningful it is to share his career moments with his family.
“It’s been a special run, just with everybody here in Kansas City from the organization to the community, from the team and from my family,” he told reporters last year. “I just try to cherish that. I still remember moments from the World Series my dad played when I was 5 years old. So, these are moments I’ll have with my family for the rest of my life.”
Mahomes previously led Kansas City to three straight Super Bowl appearances from 2023 through 2025. The Chiefs fell short of a historic three-peat last season and were eliminated before the 2026 playoffs began, ending their seven-year AFC Championship streak.
With Mahomes recovering and Kansas City out of contention, Patrick and Brittany appear focused on family life as he works toward returning to the field next season.
