Passenger killed in hit-and-run crash in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood

One person was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood early Sunday morning, according to the Denver Police Department.

Police initially reported a single-vehicle fatal crash in the 11000 block of East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 3:41 a.m. Sunday.

But on Monday, DPD officials said the crash involved two vehicles, that the driver who caused the crash fled on foot and a passenger in that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The extent of the other driver’s injuries is unknown, police officials said in a post on X. The crash is still under investigation.
