Palo Alto estate lands buyer in real estate deal that tops $10 million

PALO ALTO — A modern mansion in Palo Alto has been bought for more than $10 million by a family based in the South Bay.

A family group operating out of a Sunnyvale residence paid $14.35 million for the Palo Alto mansion, documents filed on Oct. 31 at the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office show.

The just-bought mansion is located at 6 Tevis Place in Palo Alto’s Crescent Park neighborhood

An affiliate named Webb’s Cross bought the residence, which totals 5,400 square feet. The affiliate is based at a Sunnyvale residence owned by Anuradha Garg and Mahesh Garg.

The Mary Jane Elmore Trust sold the property, the county documents show. The Garg family bought the property through an all-cash deal.

The 6 Tevis Place residence was designed in the Spanish Revival style and contains five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.

The house’s design was inspired by the Biltmore Hotel in Santa Barbara, the marketing package states.

The property also includes a pool house that totals 300 square feet.

The mansion was offered for sale at $15.45 million. This means the purchase amount was about 7% below the asking price.

Compass real estate agents Carol Carnevale, Nicole Aron and James Steele marketed the mansion for sale.
