One killed in crash on I-25 in Broomfield; highway re-opened after closure

One person died in a crash on Interstate 25 in Broomfield Monday morning — the latest in a series of deadly motorcycle crashes in recent days.

The crash occurred around 1:45 a.m. on southbound I-25 just south of the intersection of the interstate and E-470, according to Broomfield police.

Authorities closed all southbound lanes of the interstate to respond, but all lanes were re-opened as of 6:30 a.m.

The incident is the fourth fatal crash involving a motorcycle in the Denver area since Friday night.
